Welcome to the
MAGENTA  GECKO  ART  STUDIO
Glass Etching Gallery
Besides loving to paint, I also love to etch glass.  Nowadays, I am very choosy about the work I do because I want to enjoy the work I do
and want to have a very substantial part in the creativity of the projects I do.
Some of the pictures you are going to see may not be real crisp, but glass etchings are really hard to photograph, especially the larger pieces, such as glass doors and large windows.  Please keep that in mind when viewing the photos.
My approach to glass etching is probably different than you are used to seeing.  I do not use sand blasting nor do I use acid to etch the glass.  Because I like to work in detail, I found I could not achieve that detail using templates for acid or using templates for sand blasting.  My process affords me the the luxury of creating whatever design and subject my clients want, be it a design of underwater sea life or a Tibetan Goddess, or a very personal design depicting very personal images for a Japanese family.  My etching process is not restricted to templates, but offers an open ended amount of possibilities that is only restricted by my talents and ideas as an artist .

Please note:  The artist maintains all print and publishing rights.  No images may be reproduced without the written permission of the artist.  Thank you.

This site will be in constant construction.  I will be posting new etchings and new paintings as I do them. Thank you for visiting.  You can click on "BACK" to get back to my home page.  Check out my "soap box" page. It contains some of my views on a variety of subjects, generally concerning something to do with our fragile eco system.  Nature has served me well, and I would like to give something back and try to help the things that have no voice to protest or vote.
